Meeting highlights

Thanks to everyone who attended last night's Parent Council meeting!  It was terrific to see such a good turn out and some new faces.  Everyone's input is important and there were some good discussions last night.

Fundraising updates:

• QSP total sales ~$2025, down from last year (profits from those sales yet to be determined)
• Chocolate sales fundraiser targeting delivery for early December
• Dance-A-Thon to occur Feb 19
• Community garage sale date to be late May or early June

Premier's Awards:

• For next meeting, brainstorm potential nominations for a Premier's Teaching Award in one of the following categories:
• Teacher of the year
• New teacher of the year
• Excellence in support staff
• Excellence in leadership
• Team of the year
• Lifetime acheivement

Contact the school if you're interested in attending a TDSB sponsored Parent Involvement Seminar (all-day) on Sat.Nov 14.

If you know of Not For Profit organizations who provide services for children (such as Scouts, Girl Guides or heritage classes), looking for locations to host their meetings (after school hours on weekdays or on weekends) please let Mrs. Black know.
