Jan 18: Meeting highlights

Thank you to everyone who attended!

Parent Resource Library 

• The response from parents continues to be positive. 
• In an effort to be mindful of our resources, reminders about the library will be published in the monthly school newsletter.
• Books need to be returned to the library before the end of the school year.

Premier's Awards  

• This year' we will submit two nominations, one each for Ms. Lewis and Mme. Bruce.

  Parent Reaching Out (PRO) grant:

• Parent (caregiver) and child engagement workshop on Jan 20th was well attended and well received.
• Next workshop topic will be Discipline and will feature another speaker from the Parent Education Network (PEN).

Lunch Lady Program:

• Orders can be submitted by paper or online at their website TheLunchLady.ca .

Fundraisers:

• Completed:  t-shirt sales
• Yet to come: Dance-A-Thon (Feb 25), chocolates (April), pop-corn (May or June)
• School lunches: we will not be raising as much money as last year through volunteer lunches as we will be switching to the "Lunch Lady" program.  We will continue to have a volunteer run pizza lunch once a month.
