February 29th: Meeting highlights

Dance-A-Thon:

• The school raised approximately $1700 profit. 
• Thank you to our students for working so hard to raise pledge monies.
• Thank you to our parent volunteers for making this happen.

Fundraising idea:

• Cascades paper product company. 

Ron Morrish:

• Will have a presentation for parents on the evening of Wednesday March 21st.
• Please RSVP to the school as soon as possible. (Download the PDF invitation.)

Cluster parent academy (CPAC) (From Zahra)

• If you have conference or workshop topics that you'd like the CPAC to present, please let Zahra know as soon as possible.  (Examples of things that could benefit our children directly include things like, "How to help your child with math and reading" or requests for the implementation of homework clubs.)
• The CPAC Family Conference for 2012 will be heald on Saturday June 2nd at either North Albion Collegiate or Greenholme.

Skate Night 

• We will have a Family Skate Night on Wednesday April the 4th
• Location:  Weston Lions Arena
• Volunteers requested to assist with fitting and tying skates for the children and to staff a refreshments table

Hot lunches

• If you have ideas for healthy lunches we can offer our students, please let Hazel know!  (Leave a message at the school office)
• Parent volunteers for preparing and distributing Friday lunches are always welcome!

Spring concert:

• Will feature all students.
• Program is called "Child of the World"
• Tentatively scheduled for Thursday June 21st from 6-7:30pm at Scarlett Heights
